Croton-on-Hudson New Residence
This ultra-modern hillside residence is defined by a refined composition of concrete, glass, and shousugi ban cladding, carefully integrated into its wooded setting. Developed in collaboration with interior designer Diana Banach, the project evolved from an initial design vision into a fully coordinated architectural solution by Mandra Workshop through detailed structural and MEP integration. Cantilevered volumes, distinctive V-shaped structural columns, and expansive glazing establish a strong connection to the landscape. Exposed concrete anchors the lower level into the terrain, while charred wood siding and transparent upper volumes create contrast, balance, and a precise modern architectural expression.
